All three packets were sent/recieved when I pinged 192......

When I pinged google, it was unable to find the host

so you have internet connection but your browser doesn't work?


Edit: nevermind I thought you were able to ping google.

try pinging google with the IP address instead.

ping 66.102.7.104

probably not the router. the router doesn't know or care that it's someone elses account on the same computer.

hrrrmmm....when you go into the connection properties (where you found the ip), on the details button, does it have dns servers listed? (on the accounts that don't work)

do you have a firewall installed? sounds like something is restricting those accounts.

Yes, packets are sent but are rarely recieved.

Yes it shows the DNS servers listed. Yes I have a Zonealarm firewall on, but the XP firewall isn't enabled. It worked fine when the ZA firewall was on until one day..

my guess is the firewall. maybe uninstall, then try those accounts, and if they work, reinstall your firewall. hope that helps.
