But anyway. Since the server is bogged over there i'll ask it here. Im gonna be autoX'ing next year in my AT 92 Civic LX. Im doing a D16Z6 swap next week and i want to get ready for the next AutoX season. Anybody got any suggestions on what i can do to get ready for next season. As in a type of practice and work i can get done to my car.

 

don't need to do anything to the car except to make it safe. such as make sure no fluid is leaking or anything loose. check to make sure you have all the lugnuts and they are torqued properly.

other then that don't practice anything on the street. save it for the autox.

 

What about suspension wise. I know im riding stock and im gonna get bumped into the mod class since i did the swap so might as well do waht i can do to excel since i'll be in this class

you won't be able to take advantage of it and it will only mask all the nubbin errors you will make.

 

too bad you're doing that swap... it'll put you in SM, pretty much.. .unless your region has an OSP.

I'd recommend you leave everything possible stock and just get as much behind-the-wheel time as possible.

 

I wish i could but i got a cracked head in my block and i overheat so i dont wanna risk my car and my life. Thats why im just gonna go and do the swap. If i dont win o well. I just wanna go out there and have fun with all the other HANers that are AutoXing

 

:chuckles: really don't worry about winning.

People that compete in SM typically have 10-20K invested in their car already.

So don't bother modifying anything else and just drive, watch, listen, learn and have fun.
