Don't sleep with a gun next to your bed without a holster... could end up like this...

I always thought leaving a gun out on the nightstand was a bum idea. I figure if I woke up in the middle of the night and needed it I'd prolly end up knocking it on the floor in a panic, alerting any intruder of my location. Plus it is just way too visible.

I've slept with a gun under my mattress. I got rid of it because I realized I had to already be pretty freaked out and/or paranoid to have it there. My fear was that someone unexpected in my family would walk in and I'd use it by accident. Or I'd do something with it in my sleep.
