Pitbulls aren't born mean. Dogs aren't born mean.

Dogs are born sweet, loving little creatures. Just like human beings they learn all these bad things. My sister has a 3/4 pitbull-1/4 rottweiler, they never mistreat that dog, he's lived around my niece and nephew since they were both babies. He's the sweetest dog, but if you're threatening the people he loves he can seem like a mean bastard. Kinda like a human, eh?

He even barks at me when I haven't been around in a while, but he's never tried to attack me. My own dog will bark at me after I've been gone for a long time. He's a shepherd mutt and he'll do that. He could be just as much a threat to someone as any "violent" pitbull if he was mistreated as a puppy, though. Any dog can be violent and attack people. It's not limited to pitbulls.
