If your going to school for computers....dont. IMO. I got my associates in computer programming and im A+ certified and it took me over a year to find a steady job. I feel if your going for computers get yourself some certs and you can do rather well.

Donald, what do plan to do with the extra knowledge?

the main reason I plan to get an M.A. in English is because I want to be able to teach at a community college part-time. h:

In some fields, there is an upper limit to those without graduate degrees. For example, without a master's degree in social work, that field is basically closed to you.

have you talked to anyone who has an MBA? I've talked to about 6 of them all at various different schools. one thing in common is that you don't learn that much, but it's pretty good on your resume.

one friend got recruited by V.S. and he just bought a house where he was living. So V.S. gave him fair market value for the house and relocated him. but this guy has about 6years of work experience in the corporate world so he was heavily recruited.

He did tell me that if he didn't have the MBA, he would have had to seek out employers.

Lastly the school you graduate from make a HUGE difference, so choose wisely.

ya.. i have a few friends that are w/an mba program.. ones at purdue, he's thinking about dropping out and going to law school. he says its a waste of time. and another at csudh (online mba) ..

if i were to goto an mba school, i probably wouldnt goto a top ranked program :dunno: .. i jus feel the urge to get some education h: w/o the work

maybe ill jus get a bunch of professional licenses.. i jus dont want to look back and think that i had the opportunity, but didnt act on it
