so i just got home (i was gone all weekend). i turned my TV on and it shut itself off automatically :thinking: plus the "timer on" light was blinking, but i didn't do that. so i shut off the surge protector, then turned it on again. tv turns on, shuts itself off. this happens a couple of times. i don't know how to fix it (considering i have no idea what the problem is). i can't get into my menu, because hey, its shut off.

dammit i have a show i want to watch on in five minutes! plus i can't sleep without the TV on.

help me :happysad:

 

what type of Tv is it?? and you might be able to call the place where you purchased it for technical help if it didn't come provided in the manuals and stuff :dunno:

i called the company, and they said the light meant it is malfunctioning, so it has to be serviced.

if my parents don't let me get a new tv tomorrow, i will be extremely pissed (november was when i was going to get a new one b/c the tubing is going out).

PS- don't buy a JVC. this thing is at the most 10 years old. i have another TV (at home, of course) thats a mitsubishi circa 1984 that even has the U/V buttons, no way to change the channel w/out a cable box, and that thing works perfectly. perfect color, screen, etc.
