Default Computer dorks, can I get some quick help.

These are probably easy fixes, I just have a brain fart right now. Ok I am on my laptop. It came with XP Home, but I formated and installed XP Pro. While booting up, it still gives me 2 options on which OS to use. Then I make a choice and it goes into the XP splash screen. How can I get rid of the choices and make it run on XP P?

Second, the native resolution of this screen is 1400xsomething. Every time I reboot, it starts off at 1024xwhatever. How can I get it to keep it on 1400xsomething?>

1) boot.ini

2) check video card drivers.

Elaborate. h:

I am assuming I have to edit the boot file? How? Where?
The drivers are the lastest from ATI.

1) edit c:\boot.ini. it has the selections in it, you can make the time be 0 or have only one selection (so it doesn't make you choose).

2) make sure the drivers are up to date.
