Cooling in BTX will be much more efficent also.

edit: there were some reviews that said the Prescott core scaled better than the Northwood core, so if they are going for over 3.6ghz speeds, it would probably be better to use the Prescott core.. however with the extended pipeline of the Prescott, it does get very hot compared to the Northwood.... so if they can control the head and are aiming for higher speeds, I'd assume it would be the Prescott core.

eh I have that already... umm just need some memory to fire it up and reinstall the OS... I just might upgrade the cpu again to Dual 3.0GHz before I do :rick:

Oh yeah, I almost forgot about the 1.13. Great business move by Intel though I must say.

... For AMD.

My team is ranked 765. (it's really only me on the team, everyone else left after the last key was found, they took a long time to come out with a new client for the new contest, lots of people lost intrest)

I usually burn in for a week so once I get it up let I'll let you know and I'll boost you up to like 100 or something

it would be interesting to see how much it would boost things and how many blocks a day that thing could do.

I've got...

3 P3 550's... 3 1.12ghz P3's, 1 333mhz, 1 233mmx, 1 2.4ghz p4, 1 1.13ghz celeron, maybe another p1 or p2 somewhere.

And I only get about 150-250 blocks a day with all them going for the same ID.

I don't remember exact numbers but when I first built the dual xeon 1.8GHz I was doig about 100-125blocks a day.

I'm not completely sure if they take advantage of HT and dual processors.

they do now for sure. I've got 2 dual cpu machines and each cpu has it's own cruncher.

oh and these blocks are a lot bigger. rc5-64 used to take like 5 mins for a block. now they are taking like 20-30mins.
