network help?

Default network help?

i am at friends place and here has a wireless network... actually he only uses the network to share internet connection from 2 desktop and 1 laptop. Now she asked me if it was possible to open the network and allow her to print from her laptop to 1 of the printers connected to 1 of the desktop wirelessly... not sure where to configure that any help? not very knowledgeble in computers but i could get laid if get this working!!!

The configuration is done exactly the same way you would do it on a wired network. On the PC that is physically connected to the printer, configure it to be shared. On the other computers, add it as a network printer.

what if you have two computers on the same workgroup, have connectivity, one computer can't see any computer on the workgroup and the computer that can see the other computer on the workgroup can't access anything on that computer?

confused yet?

you just map all the computers to the printer. both my desktop and laptop are wirelessly networked and i can print to the printer thats connected to the desktop from my laptop. what you do is from the computer with the printer, go to the printers properties and share the printer. then on the other computers add a printer and follow the wizard from the printer folder

yeah, depends on where the printer is located, how to install tho. if it is installed on a computer, then make sure you enable it ias a network printer. ....if its on a print server, make sure that you use that IP as the printer addy.

ok so i did enable the sharing part... and i can see it on the laptop, but when i try to print something from the laptop it give me an error on the print spool thing... just says a rpinting error...
