Default Yet another reason you should own an Apple *pics*

This machine is now capable of running any Windows software (almost any), any Linux/BSD software, Apple OS9 Software or Apple OSX Software.

Check out the screen shot.

It's too big to post in the thread itself.

It actually runs the Windows applications pretty quickly, and I only allocated 256mb of ram to the "machine," so it could run faster. All of the network interfaces work, printer and printer sharing, video card, soundcard, etc, etc.

why not just run a windows box?

seems more logical to me than spending 2 grand to "emulate" windows.

My point was it can run any software from any OS. I happen to prefer Apple's for many more reasons than the fact that I can run other software, I was just showing that it's capable of it and it does it well.

To be honest, there's no Windows software that I even need to run, I just did this so I could do it, in case sometime down the line I absolutely have to have a PC to run something required by my job or for a friend or something.

The BSD/Linux capability's aren't "emulation" because the Apple machine is a true FreeBSD box to begin with.

From what one Apple geek tells me, windows emulator is not nearly as efficient as actually running windows and you can't really take advantage of the one thing that Macs lack, games.
