Neil Peart of Rush wrote one of the best books ever called Ghost Rider after losing his wife and daughter in less than a years span. An average man would have lost his mind, but he embarked on a 55,000 mile journey to heal himself. I haven't read too many books that have made me realize how strong the human soul is. The music of modern day Rush reflects a lot of Peart's deepest feelings.

The similarities continue . Maybe they can be called a mini-Rush, although Rush is one of those mythical and legendary bands.

Don't ever call Rush 80s music, Rush has influenced more bands that anyone will ever know. Most bands require 5 or 6 musicians to play a decent gig, Rush did it with 3 and they still sound as good live as they do in the studio.

Final Cut is arguably one album that I would take with me if I was in a deserted island. The haunting tale of Roger Waters dealing with the death of his father, a man he never saw (Eric Waters was shot down over Astoria when Roger was 2 months old) and the way the British government treated his family.

Indeed, Ken.

Sean -- you're not obsessing over Rush at all, are you? Geez. You'd think someone would stop caring about a 3rd rate band after all these years :lmfao:
