Default Advice on work needed!

I'll try to keep this short as possible. I work for a company with about 120 employees. Ever since I started, the Human Resources rep made up his mind that he didn't like me. I don't know why (I'm one of the hardest workers here, with stats to prove it). Anyways, when ever I see him in the hall, he makes some kind of smartass remark, or makes a smartass look. To the point I've warned my supervisor, and her manager to tell him that he's going to catch me in a bad mood one day, and I won't be responsible for what happens. He even had to write an apology letter to me once. He was cool for about a yr, but the past 2 weeks he's done it two different times. I kept thinking management will see how wrong he is for this job, and he'll be gone soon. But I'm not putting up with this shit anymore. He's the only HR person here, and it doesn't look like he's going anywhere. Someone that looks like me must be ****ing his wife or something. I really don't what he has against me, but if he says one more remark I'm going to beat the shit out of him. Any other suggestions on how to handle this so I don't get fired for kicking his ass?

HR people can have some massive pull. In all cases, they'll take his word over yours, so this is something you'll have to put up with during the day and hope to catch this guy outside of the office.

Why don't you confront him and find out what the problem is? I know it's easier said than done, but it may resolve the problem.

Been thinking about carrying one of those pocket tape recorders, and recording a few of his comments, call his phone after hours, and playing them on his voicemail. Maybe he'll get the hint?
