Make sure its rated SA2000. Don't get a M helmet as its a motorcyle helmet and I really never found those comfy. I think Bell and Pyrotech are good brands and around $300 is a good price.

Also get a closed face, what you had on yesterday, because it helps incase stuff flies in and hits your face.

Are you just planning on autocrossing? I'd save money and get a snell-m2000 rated helmet. Here's one for $60: http://www.tonker.com/shopsite_sc/st...cs5_black.html

Get an M or motorcycle helmet. 1) it's $200-500 cheaperm, 2) it's all you need for autocrossing, 3) it's lighter, 4) and cooler in the summer.

You can get them with or without visors. I got mine with a visor since I wear contacts. A typical motorcycle helmet is about $100 compared at a starting price of $300 for an SA helmet.

Yea, the Bell M2 is about $300 everywhere I look. Give or take a little. But it looks to be a goo all around helmet.

What kind is yours Mike?

I would never buy a helmet off Ebay. Remember it's your head you are talking about.

Also you should try on the helmet before buying it. Getting it online you don't know if it's going to fit. My SA helmet was a medium and when I went to try on a medium M helmet it wouldn't even go over my head. I had to get an XXL helmet
