The October 24th event is not for novices just to let you know. You should have a couple of events under your belt, cause it will be overwhelming if it's your 1st event. You should know basically all aspects of run order, grid order, tech order, and working the course before you attend. If you don't you could be responsible for holding up the event (which HAS TO END BY 5pm) or you could end up getting yourself killed. Last year we were done by 4:30pm which is cutting it close.

I have three 8 hour tapes of runs I've taped since 2001 Also something like 50gb of video stored on my computer or DVDs.

Again Mike sorry to hear that, you were very fast... damn those pesky cones. Had a qs about the ASCC membership, since the season is over would it be better to get it January 1, 2005? Both my brother and sister in law want to do the full season next year.

Jae... yes I am crazy... I'll be running the full season next year and hopefully I don't have to work Mondays.

Jae... sorry to hear about your car.
Yeah the reason for this is if you notice most passenger cars come with specific air pressures to keep the public from killing themselves. This "basic" pressure will cause most cars to understeer, which is safer than oversteer. To correct understeer you just slow down more or turn the steering wheel more straight OR add a little more brake.

To correct oversteer in a FWD car you need to get back on the gas pedal, which most people do the opposite and get on the brake, which makes you oversteer FASTER.

Hondas (in stock form) like pressures to be biased by about 5psi (front to back). So if you are running 45 front you should run 40 OR 50 psi rear. Going down in pressures will get the car to rotate slower (easier for novices to catch). Higher pressures in the rear will rotate the car faster sometimes even snap oversteer, which if you are not ready to catch will nip you in the butt.

Yeah Lawrence if I were you I'd run a few events before going to a big time one.

Mike: are they still moving to the Farm show complex for '05 and beyond?

Like I was telling you I was really scared to run to 45 given its the max of my tires. Though it was comforting when you told me for short bursts its ok. I will definately go up to 45 front 40 back next year.

I figured out the gas to get out of an oversteer my first event and it was the hard way too.

I'm definatly going to be running again. Either in the Susq region or up here by me more. I'm defiantly going to be getting out on the course some more.

I'll need some new tires for sure... having a mismatch of tires and the front 2 are getting pretty worn down... I think with better tires and a few more runs I'll be a lot better.

I improved my time from the first run to the last run over 8 seconds.
