how do you delete an icon from the Launcher?

You mean from the dock? Just drag it off and drop it onto your desktop... it will poof, then dissapear

Then either the dock has been locked, or what she's trying to drag out is in use.

Is her login the admin on the computer, or is it just a regular account?

... Do you know what a Macintosh computer is?

I wanna say there's a way to do it by going into the system folder, but it's been years since I last used an Apple, and that was on 7.6.1. Sorry I can't be of much help.

it's an apple they use in the elementary school..i don't know much about macs but its the one with a clear back, kinda new.. the icon on the launcher is a square button and takes 1 click to open so i can't drag it anywhere
