i dont see what you guys see. google is just another search engine. yahoo, which ive been using since the internet started, does the same thing google does and even better. so my latest issue of forbes has the google founders as millionaires. its just another search engine!!

someone explain to me why google was so successful?

successful because they have an innovative search algorithm/pagerank sys., great marketing, and advertising revenue.

Google is succesful because for a while Yahoo sucked balls and Google took on the challenge, and succeeded where Yahoo was failing. Yahoo went through some changes and is very good now but their search algorithms aren't as finely tuned as Google IMO.

 

I use www.searchalot.com and i think its better then google IMO

 

simple, no freakin advertizements or popups. its a very simple page that loads very fast and does not have all that clutter that yahoo has.
