I have one I have had for 20 years that keeps good time, and looks good too

Sorry, no, it was new, in the box, got it at the jewelry store. Just because I did not buy the pimp daddy $6000 gold and platinum job, does not mean it was not a TAG.

go with a couple of swatch... I have some really expensive watches (Omega-Hermes) other not that expensive like Tissot and i also have many Swatchs, I love the Swatchs best! Cheap so no worries about loosing it, or getting it stolen. Plus Swatch come in different colours, styles that you can match with you clothing!!! I specially like the Skins so thing an comfy!

Under that price, I'd go for Kenneth Cole ($75-150) and some of their designs look better than some of the more expensive watches.

Seriously man, I doubt that you got any kind of genuine TAG for $225, but if they do have a LOW end model (that I am not aware of) that is around that price, you get what you pay for. Why would you buy a dive watch that is the LOWEST model that a particular brand sells, and then complain about it? You get what you pay for. That is like someone saying that since Honda makes that NSX, a Civic DX (although much less expensive model) should be of the same quality level. Sure, Honda makes the DX, and some level of quality assurance is there, but the bottom line is that it is the cheapest model they make, it is not an NSX. The same is true with any retail good.
