A projector light is one that uses a curved lens to gather and focus light. I personally prefer projectors because, in my experience, the spread of light is much more even than reflectors or refractors.

eh yea i'm serious. So projects have a special concave lens to direct the light? Interesting... so how to non-projectors direct the light?

A reflector has a concave mirror behind the bulb.
