Default Bush flip flop!

http://money.cnn.com/2004/09/23/news..._spr/index.htm

h: But it has NOTHING to do with elections... And has NOTHING to do with the fact that Bush's approval rating has been neatly correlated to gasoline prices...

Gee it could have nothing to do with the fact that we have been hit with all of these hurricaines and offshore oil production was shut down and some of the rigs were dammaged

and it has nothing to do with the multiple category 3 and above hurricanes that have made the southeastern part of the US a disaster area

Well, that is true... but I'm pointing out that Bush has been adamant against opening up the Strategic Oil Reserve under any cost in an attempt to horde for an event where oil importation ends...

And that I'm sure his advisors are well aware that incumbents statistically lose support after major natural disasters and that Bush's approval rating has been directly correlated to the price of gasoline.

Florida would have done just fine without opening up the reserve, but Bush needs to do everything he can to keep the prices of gasoline low in that state...

Surprise surprise.... most of the things Bush has doing over the past year were with the sole intent of securing a reelection. After that, if he gets reelected, who knows what will happen? All I really know is the draft on the table for 2005... I hope you young people that support him are ready to die for him!
