Default Windows XP users URGENT

My brother accidently deleted his wifes user name on XP... and she needs all her documents etc... Are they saved on the computer even though her user account is gone? i never have more than 1 user.. so i couldnt answer...

Depends, there is an option to delete everything that was in her name, but just try to search for the documents, chances are, they are still there.

How do you accidently delete a username :dunno:. You can try System Restore.

Actually, before you delete the account, it gives you an option whether to delete files or keep them.

I just deleted a test account I made. I chose to "delete files" but the files are still in /documents settings :dunno:

But I havent rebooted yet.

if she saved in My Documents, they are most likely gone. if she saved somewhere else, they are probably still there.
