Holy crap they picked some nice parts to stick in that car. An APR Garrett GT28RS turbo kit (with trick pieces like a CF airbox) and Ohlins coilovers are a couple of the highlights.

The red leather, gauges, and decals are a little cheezy, but otherwise there are some really trick parts.

They put some nasty graphics sets on, I'd be all, okay you can turbo me and go through the suspension, but if you put vinyl on my car it is coming off within a minute of your turning off the camera

come to think of it I don't know who pays. I just know they say what their budget is at the begining of the show.
it's been so long since I watched the 240 show that I can't remember all that much about it.

The show pays to fix up the cars.

Thing is, they have that "budget" but they never show how the money is actually spent. I'm sure more than a few parts have ended up on cars because vendors want the exposure on tv and provide them free of charge. Plus I doubt they pay for labor.

havent seen the audi one yet but its recorded. the mustang they did from last week was a really good job though. most of the transformations are very thorough.

on a couple of the shows ive seen they admitted to going way over the budget. usually the budget is like 5k anyways. wouldnt be much of a transformation with 5k.

Yeah the mustang guy was pretty happy.
I'm pretty sure the gauge guy, that has been coming in on a few shows, is a vendor who installs the custom tuner trans clusters for exposure. And a lot of the actual work is done by outside sources.
They could use a new style guy for sure.
