i was reading some of the reviews and some ppl said a credit card was no longer needed. this would be great cuz my parents wont give me theirs

When I signed up for live a few months ago, you still needed a CC. Even though i used a pre-paid card to signup. They want that CC to charge for downloadable content and when the clock strikes at midnight on the last day of your prepaid year.
