What cigar would you reccomend for a newb. Someone told me to try a No.4
The No.2 was a bit harsh but I smoked it immediately after purchasing it. The store I bought it from had a giant walk in humidor/showroom, so I donno if it was moist enough.
Best to ask the local tobacco shop person what they recommend. They'll usually be able to recommend a good mild cigar for a newbie. Also, don't smoke them too fast, if the heat gets too high, the smoke tends to get harsher. Cheaper cigars will also tend to get harsher as you smoke them. Something mild and consistent would be the best.
They really are quite disgusting. I hate when I'm at a car meet and I'm standing their talking to somebody and another person walks up to the group of people, and blows their cigar smoke into the middle and you get a nice wiff. Ugh.
I wanna know how to cut the thing properly. Also, If I dont smoke it all, can I re-light it later on. I dont have a humidor. Where and how should I keep it.
I would recommend Romeo Y juliet, those are great cuban cigars yet not very harsh! Or maybe Partagas a bit stronger but so is the flavour. As to cutting it, it really is you preference some will cut with a cigar cuter with usually means cutting the tip off. Me i like using the cutter that just cut a groove (like a piece of cake) or the thing that just cuts a hole in the tip of the cigar.
I wouldn't recommend relighthing a cigar later.... It is normal to relight a cigar during a smoking session but letting it burn out (by the way alwais do that never put it out as it will stink) and keeping it for later will just make sure that the cigar will taste like shit!
And the best place to keep a cigar (apart from a humidor) would be in the bathroom, humidity will make sure the cigar stays good... if you buy a humidor then humidity should be around 65-70% and make sure you use distilled water to soak the sponge or else you have some mineral deposits and it will alter the cigars taste... Have fun smoking you Cigar!
