The auto x may be cancelled
Tomorrow was gonna be my first, and now I think it will be cancelled because its been pouring all day and won't get any better tomorrow. The next one won't be till October. :wtc:

None of my loser friends took the offer of free lunch and dinner at a nice place so I'll have no pictures. I mean the offer of free food at a good place and me making a complete fool of myself wasn't tempting enough.

i've never had an autox cancelled due to rain. i've had an event delayed but not cancelled. i've run in a down pour. you just go slower.

At Nationals this past week in Topeka they told everyone to run for cover as lightning was hitting just on the other side of the airport. 1st heat was delayed for about 30 minutes.
I've never been to an autocross where it was cancelled due to rain. Where is this autocross?

It was in Fairmont...
PAX adjusted - 24th
Time only - 33rd
Placed 4th in class (H Stock)... 0.104 out of third.
Didn't hit a single cone or go off course... the other competitors said with better tires I could have gone atleast 3 seconds faster.

again stop listening to those people. it wont magically give you 3 additional seconds. even with the best street tires you wont get more than 1 maybe 1.5second on a 60second course and it will take about 3-6event before that happens. that is if you are already driving the car as fast as the car can be driven. which i can guarantee that you are not.
I've lost 3rd in ASP in as small a margin as .010. Friend of mine in ESP as small as .001. Really doesn't make a difference, you are slower then you are slower.
Just keep your car stock and keep driving to events.
