Default PayPal Experienced People

Hey, need some advice on PayPal.

I just sold some stuff on Ebay for around $700 US. Amazing what women will pay for Prada.

My question is, if they PayPal it over immediately and I use the money to pick up something from Ebay will I be protected in case they sent over fraudulent funds? I went to PayPalSucks.com and they had stories where PayPal would freeze accounts or charge the seller again if the buyer did not pay with "clean" money.

The buyers appear to have good feedback, 60 and 250 feedback w/100% and are active of late but i'm still cautious after PayPal tried to scam me $250.

Thanks.

edit: (cliffnotes) I don't want to send the item out and then find out the funds the buyer paid with are fraudulent. Is there a way to ensure funds are 100% legit?

I would put in your your bank account, and wait till it clears just to be safe. 700 bucks is alot of money

i think a lot of the horror stories on paypalsucks.com were covered in the recent class action suit against paypal. personally i'd call paypal and your bank and ask them if i had a legitimate concern such as this.

Wait till the money is in your PayPal account. Then take it out and put it into your checking account. Wait 72 hours or something. Then do as you wish with it.

I am just throwing out a number with 72 hours. But after the funds are fully in your bank and out of PayPal your bank shouldnt allow PayPal to access it without your permission.
