Ok, so for the past few weeks AIM has been throwing me error messages when I IMed certain people or they IMed me. I would be able to talk to them for a bit then i'd get the message. With other people, no problem.

Tonight I go on my computer and the istant I go to IM somebody, I get an error message. "AIM encountered an error and needs to close." So, I restarted, same thing. Reinstalled AIM, same problem. Did a virus scan (two trojans, which I deleted) same problem. Got rid of all the spy/crapware off my computer, same problem.

What else can I do?

 

Try different versions of AIM and make sure u do a sweep of your registry.

 

Why, the older version of AIM works just fun. I'm going to completely uninstall the newer aim and see if I can reinstall it again and get it to work.

 

There's always Trillian. A neat program, but it runs kinda slow.
