Default attn: workout crew

so i've been lifting. on a pretty serious workout (5 sets of 12). both of my roommates are really big into lifting too but we can't come up with one answer of how many grams of protein your body can digest daily. do any of you know?

i ask because i drink protein shakes, each one is 23 grams of protein, here in a few weeks, depending on how much protein a body can digest, i might drink two a day. one roommate is just taking cell-tech, the other is taking animal pack and a mass builder and is thinking of getting back on animal stack. thanks

at one time, you body can process around 20-25grams

on a daily basis... a lot

you should be taking in at least 1g/protein per lean lb of body mass, 1.5-2 for gains. per day

you weigh 155 lbs? that means, all your bones, organs, muscle, and fat weighs 155 lbs in total.

what manincamo said was 1 gram per 1 pound of lean muscle mass . (not including your bones, organs, or fat, which takes up a lot of your weight)

On average I just take 2 shakes per day, then give or take about 30-40g of protein in my regular diet. Seems to be ok, but I stopped taking in protein shakes because I stopped lifting too. Gonna start up again when school is over.
