I realize, long term we need to shy away from oil consumption - but for now we should also be looking at getting some of the money into our own pockets and out of theirs.
That's why I say we need to start thinking outside the box. IMO, we should start considering bio-diesel (diesel from soy, etc), and liquified and solidified hydrogen.
