yeah, i know.. but there are also things he was unhappy with, that he's trying to "correct." like a friend of mine said, he's still pissed that the first was released in '77. :chuckles:

i agree with you though.. i would like to own the original on DVD.

 

i was watching this thing on it and lucas said he really wanted to do this so they could be like how he originally wanted the movies to be but couldn't. and the changes don't really fall under money-grubbing b/c 1. it costs money to do the extra special effects and 2. he knows perfectly well that it'll piss people off and some won't buy the set, but he obviously doesn't care.

I saw that interview too. He did it for himself. He didnt care what other people thought. He also mentioned that he wanted to do some small projects for himself and sell them only if people wanted to buy them. Other than that...he just didnt care what people thought.


Oh well... I have the originals. I will get the rereleases. I just love the Star Wars Universe.
