yeah. strangely enough, i expected to get home at 3 in the morning if i was speeding, and after i got that ticket i was doing the limit the whole time and still got there at 3.
i suppose speeding doesn't pay off as much as it seems.
i've had this coming for a while though. when i passed the cop i basically knew my luck had run out. i'm done with speeding. not worth it.

so can i show up to my court date, try to get the fines reduced and then request traffic school?

I usually dont even bother with the court date...I just pay the full fines plus whatever fees. But if you have the time to see the judge or magistrate...go for it. It will probably save you a few bucks being this is your first.

How old are you? Here in VA regardless of what happens if your under 21, DMV forces you to take a driving class. Not sure if thats all over the place though but something to look into

Well it won't matter and your argument will be weak. It's the same day w/a different time and it's Sunday. The only thing I can think of is to fight it in court and have the officer prove he was on still on duty at 1:09p.m & 1;09a.m most likely he was off duty by then and he couldn't have written the ticket. The judge "may" see this as an in-adequecy and dimiss the case. Good luck!!!

Yep.. I got a ticket once, and the DIRECTION of travel was wrong. I was going Eastboad while the officer marked Westbound, but not dice.

That's what I suggest, if you cannot afford the points, get a lawyer.

I agree, what I would do, is have the officer verify what time his duty/shift is, then bring up the ticket... but again, chances are if you're speeding, they'll nail you regardless.

Good luck

I got a speeding ticket i was doing 85 in a 55 and the cop wrote on the ticket 65 so when i went to court i told the judge i wasnt aware that the speed limit had changed. She ended up making me pay a $55 speeding ticket with no points on my license. I now know to never speed past rest stops cus cops be posted up in there.
