Default corollas?

What years of the coupes and hatchbacks are RWD?
Is the GT-S trim only for the coupe?
I saw a coupe in the parking lot of a mall today an I look under it and saw a driveshaft and rear end and I :chuckles:
If I could find one for like $500 it would make a great beater.
Get rid of my uncle's pos '88 DX 4dr Corolla for a GT-S coupe, if I could convince him. Then I could drive it :rick:
Is there a factory LSD?

That's front wheel drive.

I suggest you refer to www.club4ag.com if you're trying to learn about rwd Corollas.

1983 to early model 1987 Corolla GT-Ss are RWD, 4AG powerd. Came in both coupe and the famous hatch. Same year SR5s were also RWD, but powered by the weak and carb'd 4AC. LSD was an option on the GT-S. I forget how to tell... something in the VIN # tells.

i think it was 85-87 GTS hatches have the fuel injected engine and lsd. id go with a coupe becuz its less in demand and still looks pretty nice. dont go with anything not gts, u would hate having to deal with carbs unless u engine swap of course and lsd is plain sick.

i think anything AE86 or older is RWD
i drove my friend's AE86 before it got totalled(hit by neighbor who was driving home drunk) nothing beats waking up in the morning to see ur car pushed up ur lawn and totalled... at least he left a note...
back to the AE86.. most fun i've had in a car... drives great.. i was in it for 10 mins.. heel toe 3 times and all 3 times were perfect.. the seats holds better than mines
engine idles good for 220+ k miles
