Default looking to buy a notebook PC..

but i have no idea on what's good in regards to a mobile vid card. i want one that will play today's games at least as well as my radeon 9500 pro does. suggestions?

and another question.. these notebooks are widescreen. does anyone know how legacy resolutions will be affected? (i.e. 1024x768) black bars on the sides? stretched?

windows knows what widescreen is and will adjust for it.

alien makes some strong notebooks but they are also over 2k
i think youd need a 97 or 98 but thats gonna put you over your budget

try an asus notebook and let us know how it is
