Default questions on bittorrent

I've downloaded a couple of Initial D vids, most recently Stage 4 episode 3 & 4. I'm new to the bittorrent thing, can a file download be tracked like kaza? is this the "new" file swaper for vids pretty much?

It can't really be tracked per'se, plus no one (authorities) cares for the most part about the users downloading. They care about the people hosting the file from which it's being downloaded.

There have been "operations" mainly for movies, where authorities have setup a torrent and then captured all of those who connected to it to download it. Did they prosecute? Can I show proof this happened? No to both of those, but it was the rumor floating around the warez channels and such.

Just be careful, that's all. I'm sure you all have nothing to worry about; but I wouldnt go hosting files.

If you don't think it can be tracked, heres a pretty simple way of showing you it can be.

Start a transfer, let it run for 5 mins so it starts going well and starts actually downloading for a few mins.

Then click start, run, type CMD and hit ok.
Now type NETSTAT and hit enter.

You can now easily see everyone that you are connecting to and everyone that is connecting to you.

There's always a way to track it.
