Default automotive spray guns < $150

I'm in the market for an inexpensive spray gun. At a shop around here that has a good reputation, a salesman reccomended that I buy a finex fx300 for ~$80. Do any of you guys know of this gun?

Also, what do you guys think of chicago pneumatic and cambell huesfield? They have those brands at harbor freight which is right up the block from here, and I know they have killer deals on their products. I just dont know if CP and CH sell good spray guns.

If you guys have any other guns you would suggest, please do so. For now, I'm just going to be doing a few body panels, but I would like to get a gun that can paint my whole car next summer.

go to sams' club, they have the devilbliss gravity gun set with a touchup gun ~ 50-60 bucks. It gets the job done.

Do you have any suggestions as to which brands I should look for and which ones I should avoid?

BTW, anybody know how good Central Pneumatic is? I'll find a link to the CP gun that they have at harbor freight.

Wow, it's only $40 online. It's $60 at the store.

What do you guys think of Finishline by devilbliss?

Devilbiss is a good name, popular with the pros. Go with the finishline. My friend has a campbell-hausfeld or whatever and it is a worthless piece of shit. Actually I think we ended up taking it to the range and shooting it. I have one of their air rachets though, and it still works like new after like 8 years. I have the sams club kit but I haven't used it yet so I can't report. It seems to be of good quality. I can't comment on CP but like anything else, you get what you pay for.

I just looked at the CP gun you linked. It looks decent from the photo. Much better than the cheapo CH my buddy had. If you get it let us know if it is any good. I will say that the Devilbiss finishline got recommended to me by prof. body guys on another forum. I think they told me to get a Finishline II or something like that.

You do know that you also need some kind of water seperator, right? Otherwise you will get water in the paint causing poor results.
