Just wanted to say "nice work" and "I can't wait to see the rest of this custom-fab setup" and "Good Lord I hope it doesn't wind up running 16's".

It took me a week to install my intercooler, I installed it 9 times to get it right, and it was a kit that was made for my car. There was so much hacking and custom work involved with making it fit. It wasn't my daily driver, so I can only imagine how much you had to pull off to get that done in time.

Making your IC pipes takes skill if you don't want a thousand leaky couplers, so good luck with that one, man. I hope you get it built.

PS: I'm disappointed in you for painting your intercooler. I'd take it back off and hit the core with carb cleaner. Paint is an insulator. The same way window tint is an insulator. That lowered its efficiency. Still, any IC is better than no IC.

I know, this is bringing this back from the dead, but horry cow! i never saw this!

Thanks jafro! I did hear that painting lowers the efficiency, but i was like eh, and it looked really nasty before. I hardly used any paint on the metal core.

But my setup is now done!

They do make coatings that can keep the same efficiency. Paint won't lower the efficiency barely at all anyways.
