When I left my Logistics job at B&N to go back to college, I left on very good terms. I was already looking to move on, so when it became clear that my immediate superior was leaving - and that a notorious asshole was replacing him, I made my move. I gave my notice and I helped cross-train the staff to cope in the interim.
Three years on, I still run into my old coworkers... so even though I probably wont' be back in the Logistics industry, I have solid work references and more importantly...no regrets.
h:Oh, and bravo on your exodus, Janna.
