If you think they would get insurance, just because they are getting a license, you are being naive. If you think they will be paying taxes you need to increase the dosage of your medication

I think the more we have coming forward to try and become legal citizens, the more they will follow the book.

Yes obviously there will be some who don't get insurance and so forth, but there'll be less illegal citizens without isurance or even a license if we gave them a way to come out.

I mean if all the illegals aren't paying taxes already, it's not like we've got much to lose, if we're already at zero, it's not like we can go below that.

Then that brings up the "Why didn't GW sign up for the military anyway" debate and I don't give a rat's ass. Both candidates suck. plain and simple.
You honestly think that Barnes wasn't told specifically to do this for certain people? You think that he was sitting in his office one day and decided it all by himself?

Did a young GWB tell him to do it himself? I don't think so. Read my post. I'm pointing out the fact that it's not GW's fault this happened. You're trying to make this into an attack on GW, when it's not even remotely his fault.

Why is this even a campaign issue?

Bush was in the National Guard. Maybe he got in because of some pulled strings, maybe not. Either way it doesn't really matter.

Kerry was in the Navy. He volunteered. Maybe he got shot at a lot of times, maybe he got shot at a few less times. Either way it doesn't really matter.

Why both sides are devoting so much time to what really amounts to nothing more than a bunch of he-said, she-said, I have no clue.

I personally don't give a shit about some nonsense which may or may not have happened over 30 years ago. I want to know who's going to fix stuff now, in the present day, once they get elected.
