you don't need bigger displacement when you have a TURBO :awais:

I'm waiting for MDork to chime in. His wife has the 9-3 Vector model?

You should ride in one, the interior is very cheap and plasticky. The quality I would say is on par with say a Corolla. Also the quality of the car (overall on average) is pretty low from what I've read.

well, Saab is owned by GM so I wouldn't expect too much luxury out of it.

so you have ridden in one? strange because my wife gets complimented on the interior constantly. she is in biz dev so takes clients/partners to appointments often and people fall in love with her car. very few on the road which helps also. personally i love the interior. the design is incredibly well thought out. gauges are incredible. the exterior of the car really does it for me. very few sedans are as appealing visually as the vector. really a well designed car.

we looked at the 3er (im a bmw guy) but for the money the 325 was too underwhelming an too common for our tastes. g35 is arguably the best performer for the price but very boring and poor interior IMO. we considered a mazda six until we drove one....talk about poor interior quality...but then again it is much less money.

the vector (now aero) is a wonderful car. we had some initial electrical gremlins that had to be worked out but the saab dealer has been beyond accomodating (unlike bmw)...always giving me a 9-5 loaner and doing everything possible to make the car perfect including getting replacement tires super cheap due to premature tire wear complaints (bunch of people who arent used to performance tires). handling is impressive for fwd. the rear wheels steer ever so slightly but create the feeling of a very lightweight car. the suspension is very stiff...surprisingly so....makes for great turn in but you feel the bumps for sure. 4cyl turbo is more than enough for the wife (she chose an auto). feels fast coming from my 4 cyl accord but slow coming from the m coupe. its all relative i guess.

anyway...long post...bottom line---great car and after 18K miles, there is no other sedan i would rather have for the money that meets our requirements.
