No, apparently, anchor bar was the first place to sell wings commonly known as "buffalo wings." I don't know for sure--but they're really good.

Anchor bar makes probably the best Buffalo wings hands down. ITs funny how if you go any where else outside the WNY area and order buffalo wings. Most of the time they come out breaded or baked LOL. I actually ordered them in Kansas once, and returned the ones they brought out, then explained exactly how I they were supposed to be prepared. Second order came out great.

I ordered them in Erie PA and they just put hot sauce on chicken nuggets and called it a closed deal.

I was not happy.
