he crashed into the tire wall at turn 6 at speed. then he might have bounced into a real wall. regardless the tubs aren't supposed to fail.

The car is owned by Dutch importer Frits Kroymans. Interestingly the car is chassis #193 and this was the same car MS crashed in Silverstone and broke his leg in. Who knows maybe the car wasn't repaired to spec and hence failed again at just over 66 mph. The car was removed from use after the wreck and picked up by Frits Kroymans and we really can't say who did the repairs and to what extent the CF moncoque was damaged in MS' wreck which was at very high speed. CF despite being strong is succeptible to wear from prior impacts. I just think its a freak accident with a car that should not have been used even for Legends racing given the history behind it.

MS at Silverstone in 1999.

Its very hard to repair a monocoque to perfect spec after a wreck like that.

Why did they repair it instead of scrapping it? Clearly the car HAD to have split apart like that due to the previous repairs. Can't be just a "coincidence"
