Some people do silly things, and they do it only to their own people in their own nations. BUt that doesn't mean it's right or cool. Cooking and eating your cousin is still not a practice anywhere I know of, even in the most remote tribes in Africa or South America. What they did was wrong, it's as simple as that. Just because it's ok for the animals to do it doesn't mean we should; we are not animals.

Man, that little kid would really have a "unique" life after that...

What are you arguing for axe? that we should not feeling so weird about those drunks cooking and eating that other dude? But it happened in a culture that doesn't tolerate that kind of behavior. It might be ok in some areas of the world, but clearly NOT in Philipines, it's not a part of the world that we haven't heard of, therefore not many expected anyone from that nation to do that kind of a thing, therefore the outcry, and that's why cops arrested them.

Now I would like to hear what you are aruging for...

Again, my point missed you by atleast a few light years. The point is most large and powerful nations think they are all high and mighty and their way of life is the right way. The point is that its not, the way of life is what your society and culture deems to be right. What seems odd to person A may seem to be very normal to person B. When I lived in India I never got why people got so uptight about eating beef, but then I realized its because in that culture the cow is a sacred animal. When I lived in England I never understood why schools would close down early because of a soccer game, then I realized its an integral part of their society.

Again I am not saying what happened is right. In fact its very wrong and punishable by law. All I am saying is that we read of thousands of minor incidents that we blow out of proportion because of our narrow vision.

You missed the point of the article by a few dead fingers. See, it is NOT OK TO cook and eat another human in Phillipines. Where did the large and powerful nations came in to feel all high and mighty over Philipine? I don't see how this is blown out of proportion. Maybe the details are off, but I am sure both Flilipinos and Americans would not approve of such behaviors.

The Phillipines are NOT IN favor of those murderers, that's why they were arrested. Maybe we blown it out of proportion, but still the crime is just plain wrong and nasty.

anyway, what the hell are you babbling about, sean? this wasn't some rite of passage. they murdered a family member, and served him for dinner. this wasn't a cultural thing. it was some bizarre act of psychosis.
