Default V-Power works too well.....

So lately my check engine light has come on for insufficient EGR flow, no prob. Its covered under an extended emissions warranty, already schedualed in for the repair. Well low and behold, I fill up with V-Power, and it appears to have cleared the EGR system, because at the moment the egr code is only pending, hasnt set off the CEL yet.normally after I reset it, it will come back on within a couple hundred miles.... Man I wanted my free cleaning too....

Edit: For anyone that doesnt know, V-Power is a new high octane thats supposed to have 5x's the normal amount of cleaning additives...I did notice acceleration improved.

Shell. If I ever get my car running, maybe I'll try some.

no...Shell replaced supreme with "V-Power". So there is regular, plus, and V-Power.

No, I've seen it in SD at all the shell stations. 91 octane, not 94.

If you don't feel like spending the extra money on super-expensive Shell V-Power gas every time you fill up, then you can achieve a similar result (and maintain it) by simply dumping a bottle of Red Line SI-1 fuel system cleaner into your gas tank at about the same interval as you change your oil.
