im planning to meet my hometown friend for a long weekend someplace halfway bettween here (ny) and him (lacrosse, wi)

toledo seems to be a pretty solid midpoint, its a little closer to him but im over it.

how is the area? plenty to do for a couple of 23 y/o's who have never been there before?

we were talking about maybe just going camping for a weekend, the best place ive found is catawba island state park on lake erie but its about 100 miles closer to me than him.... gotta talk to him to see if its cool

anyway if you have some suggestions, let me know

just so you're not disappointed when you get there, ill tell you: toledo sucks ass. BUT, there are some things to do there. first and foremost: CEDAR POINT! arguably the best amusement park in the world. currently has the two tallest rollercoasters in the world.

other than that, put-in-bay is a cool place, its on an island about a mile out from catawba. lots of bars, cool place. good fishing too.

i'm going up to kelly's island next weekend with my folks. its about a mile east of put-in-bay, and we're getting a cabin there. its pretty nice out there. its fun if you're into the outdoors and stuff. if you're not, you will be bored out of your mind.

yeah we are both pretty outdoorsy kinda guys.... growing up we never did video games tv kinda stuff we were always out gettin dirty in the woods someplace... both were boyscouts (i was in for the camping, but i think chris actually got his eagle scout)

now he works at a state park in Wi and i just like to camp fish hunt etc so we figured we could save some dough and campout someplace...

forgot about cedar point, ive heard a lotta people say its #1 so maybe we will make a day of that too.
