Default do media players have a limit??

Windows media player for example, it wont search for more files and stops at 24 percent when im searching and ends up making me restart becuase it freezes. I currently have 19.60 GB of video and 17.63 of music files and I think I reached its limit what can I do, my guess is im gonna have to delete all my Initial D files and my Chappelle show files
