I just went to the Comp near my work, it's the one in Midtown NYC. They have it for $54.99 pluss tax I bought it anyway, because I'm getting it for my brother's b'day tomorrow...

I saw at least 3-4 people buy it on my way in, the cashier was surprised they had it in stock because it was out yesterday, they just had two that were returned...

Came out to $60 :madfawk: but they have this promotion, if you buy this key-pad add-on ($20) for the Doom3 keyboard, you get a $20 rebate, that keyboard is $49... so basically:

$54.99 + $20 + $49.99 + Tax = :airon:

 

Why, my computer is actually good enough to play games on! This usually isn't the case. But Idon't know if i'll buy it.

 

So is it actually worth the money to get? I am debating...

 

personally, i dont think ANY game is worth that kind of money. 'course, you have to take into account the fact that i drive a $500 car and a $20 bike....basically, im po' :happysad:

the only game thats worth it to me is gran turismo. its one of the very few games ive actually ever paid for.

 

is it downloadable? ie does it need some crazy sophisticated cd key or is it crackable?

 

as far as i know, theres no real trick to it. just dl it.

edit: the only real trick is having the patience to wait for 1.7 gigs to transfer.

 

when i really feel the need to play mulitplayer, i probably will...im content at the moment.

 

Got mine at Fry's, price tag says $54.99, they scan it at the counter at it comes out as $43.99. Fine by me.
