Speeding Ticket Question
I just got yet another speeding ticket.
It was a 55mph in a 35mph zone. Not too bad. But my question is since the ticket is payable.($25 ticket & 100$ court fee), does that put points on my lisencse & will it cause my INSURANCE to go up??????
NOTE: I have 2 previous tickets.
Thanks

Damn dude if you live in Ca, I think after you have 3 points on your record you get your license revoked. My speeding ticket was about the same, I'm almost done with my online traffic school too.

Here, I've been pulled over for the same, faster though, and didn't get points. Just paid and moved on.

Your insurance most likely..... most likely won't find out about your tickets untill you either hit 6 points or call different companies for a quote. If you don't do anything for the 2 years they're on your record, there's a decent chance your rates won't go up.
ALWAYS go to court. In a lot of cases the cop and/or judge will cut a deal and give you something less. 3 things I learned in business law: never admit anything, never plead guilty, and never take the breathalizer (yeah not doing this will probably put you in jail, but I guess my instructor's contention was that once they have hard evidence from the test, no lawyer can help you).
I've been pulled over twice for speeding, 83 in a 55, and 74 in a 55, and once for rolling thru a stop sign (which I didn't do). I have ZERO points on my license. The 83 in a 55 I just had a cool cop that let me off with a nonmoving ticket, the other 2 I went to court for and they just made up another thing that resulted in just a fine.
One thing's for sure though, you'll be losing money no matter what
