Looking for a hard drive

Default Looking for a hard drive

I am going to use this new one as a media hard drive, so it needs to be big..

I can get:

Maxtor 250gb - 119.00
Seagate 200gb - 122.00

I haven't gone through many hdd, so I don't know which are good companies. If you have better deals or a better brand, lemme know. thanks.

Hm, That's what I was thinking, I heard the Seagate is less noisy. And do I need the SP1 for XP cause don't I need an update to run hdd more than 137gb?

120GB...but SP1 fixes that.

you either need sp1 or a pci ide controller card

id go with the controller card option because it allows for alot more expansion later h:

:werd: some high capacity maxtors have the controller cards with em, I'm def. gonna look into them more before I buy.
