Yesterday, I found out I suck at driving. (first time 1/4 mile)

I went to the track yesterday with two of my cousins, one has an Si, the other has a GTI. It rained when we got there, so we had to wait for the rain to stop and them to dry the track again. So I only got to run 3 times.
The first time, I wasn't ready for the lights to go so fast, so I didn't get a chance to rev enough, so I bogged down a little on the start, and the rest seemed fine, but I got a 16.2. :squint:
The second run, I decided to do a burn out, just for the fvck of it, but instead of my wheels burning out, my clutch did. :ugh: (stock clutch 48k miles). When I went to take off, I spun out like crazy, and it totally killed my time. 17.4 :ugh:
My third run, I revved to about 2500rpm, let off the clutch and got some INSANE wheel hop, I thought my whole car was gonna fall apart. My headunit fell all the way out onto my center console (it usually pops out of place during hard shifts, but never falls out completely). I couldn't stop to put it back in place, so I just went and hoped it left me enough room to shift into 3rd. Nope...I missed third, pushed the HU out uf the way, slammed it in and kept going. 16.2 :madfawk:
Mind you, each of these time, I was racing my cousin's Si, and he just kept killing me, running 15.2s.
Then I went back around, disconnected my HU, threw it behind the passenger's seat, checked my oil (1/2 quart low), and let my cousin drive it, since he was talking shit, saying he got a better time in his '93 DX (he did
h: ). He got a 16.0. :squint: He said my clutch sucks.
Uhhh... damn, dude. That's pretty pitiful. Get a new clutch and then see if it was all you (I think it's your clutch, though... nobody sucks that bad). Don't feel too bad about the .2 better time that your buddy pulled, though... first day I took my car to the track I couldn't get under a 13.3, and I had been to the track in other cars before. It just took a few more tries to figure it out in this car.
tire pressure was at 25psi
didn't eat a damn thing that day till later on
I didn't take anything out, even my sub was still in, but that's about 40lbs.
The pavement wasn't wet, 'cause they had this big dryer thing that sounded like a jet running behind a truck.
my reaction times were consistently ~.5, didn't redlight once.
