Default thinking of buying a new digicam!

i'm thinking i'll get one of the following two (and maybe a 512MB mem card):
- Canon PowerShot Pro 1
- Canon PowerShot G5

why canon? both my brother and father have a PowerShot G2, and they're phenomenal digicams, so i figure i'll keep with the family tradition.

anyhow, thoughts/comments on those two?

If I were you, I'd skip those Point n' shoots and get a Rebel since you're spending that much.

But out of the two, the G5.
