Default Safelite Auto Glass

I need to know what you guys think I should do about this. Here's the story:

Day 1: My car got broken into a few nights ago. They broke the passanger side window and apparantly just reached in and stole my radar detector. It's annoying, but not the end of the world. I want to get my car fixed as soon as possible so I start calling around right after the police are done with their report. After about 30 minutes of calling I find a place called Safelite Auto Glass. The women on the phone says they have my window in stock and they can get me in in about an hour. I'm thrilled because I really didn't want to leave my car overnight with a broken window (especially with my brand new stereo in there; an alpine HU, mb quart speakers, and a JL300/2 amp). So I bring my car down there and they take a look at it and bring it right in. 3.5 hours later it's done. I'm kinda annoyed because of how long it took to replace one window and vaccume the car but if they do a good job I'm ok with it. The first thing I notice when I get to the car is that the new window has a big scratch right across it. I get one of the guys out there to look at it and he's really nice and says he wishes they could put a new one in now but unfortunatly they can't and I will have to make a new appointment. I go back inside and make an appointment with the women behind the desk for 1:00 the next day. I get back in the car and drive about 1/4 mile when I notice my stereo sounds a little funny. I play with it for a while and notice that the right speaker isn't working at all. I turn around and bo back and tell the people about it and they say that they will fix it when I bring it in the next day.
Day 2: I bring my car back out there and I tell the lady I am here to get my window replaced and my stereo fixed. She askes for my last name and looks around for my appointment. I knew something was up when it took her more than 30 seconds. After about 2 minutes of looking she says that my appointment was never made. Fortunatly another lady is there that remembers me and they get me right in. I go and sit down and about 10 minutes later they come and tell me that since my appointment was never made that they never checked to see if they have the gless in stock (which they don't). They could have ordered it but since I didn't have an appointment they didn't. I say ok and make an appointment for tuesday for them to come out to my apartment to fix the glass. They say that since my car is already back there they will fix my speaker today. I wait about another 30 minutes and they come out to me and say it is all fixed. They just bumped a wire and unhooked it from the speaker. I say ok and leave. I get in the car and this time check it without driving away. Now the speaker is playing but sounds very off. After a little fiddling I realize that the woofer is playing but not the tweeter. I go back in and let them know and a guy comes right out. He takes the door panel off and I right away notice that the tweeter is no longer on the door at all and one of the wires is off. I look a little closer and notice that the wire isn't just disconnected the piece that is soldered on is actually broken off. The first thing the guy says to me is "well we can't fix this because it's an after market part and we don't warrantee after market parts". I'm like "wtf are you talking about? I don't care about a warrantee you broke my property and you'll fix it." He tells me that I will have to talk to Chris or Jim about it and they wont be in until monday and that they will tell me the same thing. I accept this for now and he puts the door panel back together. I then notice that they also broke the triangle piece next to the window. The guy runs inside and glues the clip back on it snaps it into place and says "all fixed". I don't say anything and drive away. I called and told my insurance company about it (because they are paying for the work). And they are sending someone out in a couple of days to take a look at the damage Safelite did and to make a report. What do you guys think I should do about it. What they broke were MB Quart PCE-216 speakers. They cost more than the window they were fixing and after rent this month I will have $45 in my bank account so I can't just go out and buy new ones. Is there anything I can do abou this? It really pisses me off. They are coming out in a couple of days to fix the glass and I am going to call and talk to someone about the speaker on monday. I mean, how far should I persue this if they refuse to fix/replace my speaker?

Short version:
I had to go out to safelite twice to get one window fixed and it still isn't done. They broke a piece of the door and my speakers. They are saying they wont fix/replace the speakers because they are "aftermarket parts" and they don't warrantee them. What should I do? They can't just break my property and say "oops we don't warrantee that your out of luck".

plz help

This sounds like an easy fix, just crimp the wire and re-solder it... as far as the other stuff thats broken, ugh, tell your insurance company and dont let up until they get it all fixed like the tabs and stuff... whatta long read tho :

I hope that the tweeter is an easy fix. I talked to my friends at best buy and they said that they can prolly just resolder it for free. Which is prolly what I will do. But I don't feel that it is my job to fix their mistakes. It just pisses me off.

Wow... sounds like you bent right over and took it up the asshole sans lube!

Hope it works out for you... but knowing you if it doesn't it will just be a reason to go get a new car!
